Great set of 5 colorful lotus blossom bowls! Red, Black and Orange colored retro bowls. White porcelain lotus bowls are pretty classic but these add a pop of color. They've been around for a long time, often made in Japan, and reissued and copied by retailers like Pier One Imports in candy colors. These ones, however, have vintage origins. They are three sizes and all with striated petals. The two largest bowls are red and black, the two mid-sized bowls are black and orange and the smallest bowl is red.
Fair vintage condition. Bowls are chippy / shabby chic and each has a small imperfection (a small chip or discoloration, etc. - the worst is on the bottom of the largest red bowl, see photo above.) Other than the bottom of the red bowl, the rest are in very good vintage condition. Some very light use marks only on the very bottom of each bowl. They are priced accordingly
Size: Largest: Approx. 2 3/4'' tall, 6'' in diameter. Smallest: Approx. 1 1/2'' tall, 3 1/2'' in diameter.
These charming bowls are a real find and will be great for cereal, ice cream, rice, or berries, but their function goes beyond that; they could be used to hold jewelry, beads, spare change, sea shells, or odds and ends. Of course they will be unique wedding décor and fantastic additions to a mid-century modern kitchen or an Asian pottery collection. Any way they are displayed, they make a statement.
