This adorable vintage brooch is Sterling Silver with a mabe pearl body and a small faceted dark pink colored stone for the eye. This little bird has a triangular shaped body that is mother of pearl that is held in place with 4 prongs. The eye is a fit you pink sapphire gemstone that is faceted.
Nice detail on the head, beak and tail for such a small pin and completely unique.
The brooch/pendant measures approx. 1" long by 1/2" wide.
Weighs 1.8 grams.
This antique or vintage piece of sterling silver jewelry would make a perfect addition to anyone's collection or as a gift for someone special.
The brooch is unmarked but has been acid tested for Sterling Silver. The gemstone tests as a sapphire on a Presidium Tester.
In very good vintage condition with no issues. Pin opens and closes securely.
Note: Mabe pearls grow against the inside shell making one side flat.
