Vintage pair of Bodum coffee or tea mugs that are the same type used on the TV show Star Trek: The Next Generation by many of the cast members but particularly by Captain Picard - see last photo and NOTE below.
Two small glass cups made by Bodum with a plastic handle that can be detached for cleaning. Cups are late 1980s or early 1990s. Bottom is marked "Bodum".
Measure 3 1/4" tall. Top opening has a 2 7/8" diameter. Base has a 2 3/8" diameter.
In great vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
NOTE:
“Tea, Earl Grey, hot!” is one of the most best known phrases used on Star Trek by Captain Picard. He usually used these words to order his favourite beverage from the replicator and it was served in these Bodum cups. These cups were originally part of an entire tea set named “Le Pot”, which included four cups, a tea pot, a sugar bowl, a creamer and spoons. Star Trek: The Next Generation ran from September 1987 until May 23, 1994.
