Beautiful antique round light green/yellow colored Enamel Guilloche locket on a Silver chain. The compact opens to a mirror and an interior compartment. The locket pendant opens from the bottom. The round compartment features a lovely sunburst like shape with floral garland edges and some geometric design on the edge. Design on the back has a similar sunburst shape but in a larger design - look like rays of wiggly zig zag rays that emanate from a center round dot.
The pendant locket is circa 1920s. It hangs from a find Sterling Silver link chain.
Locket pendant is 1 1/2" in diameter and approx. 1/3" thick. Chain is 19" long
Weighs 29.9 grams
Nice antique condition with light wear commensurate with antique age. There is a small loss of enamel on the front right outer edge - see photos for detail. The interior mirror is occluded - the surface appears to have fractures. Item's price reflects these conditions.
Markings:
Compact locket is marked MADE FRANCE, 4331 with a maker's hallmark in the shape of a diamond on the inside bottom compartment. Chain is marked 925 on the loop near the clasp.
