Unique fan vase from the Depression era that is green depression glass with gold trim on the top.
There is an etched design on the top 1/3 of both sides of this Art Deco style vase that features an urn with flowers. See photo #5 for a view of the pattern.
The gold trim is on both sides and looks like it is roses and lines with a thin band underneath. The gold trim is a swag that thins at the center and then again at the ends. (It widens in the center of each swag.) The widest part of the swag is about 3/4" and about 1/3" wide in the center where the two sides of the swag meet.
The sides are slightly paneled glass giving the vase an optic quality - there are 7 ribs/panels on each side of the vase that are slender at the base and widen as they go upward into the fan.
The round base has a seam that runs across from one side to the other.
Measures approx. 8 1/2" high. Base has a 3 1/2" diameter. Top opening oval is 5 1/2" x 1 1/3".
In nice antique condition with no cracks or chips. Some wear on the gold on the top - see photo closeup for detail. Wear commensurate with antique age.
