Decanter Set Friar Monk & 2 Shot Glass Cups / Enterprise Exclusive Mugs Vintage Japan 3 Piece Set Barware Kitsch Japan Mid century

Sorry, this item has sold.

This vintage ceramic decanter set is a monk or friar with a red nose along with 2 small cups that are mini friar characters. The decanter itself is in the shape of a friar or monk wearing a brown robe, white belt. His face is serene with a red smile, red nose and closed eyes. (The little cups are the same design.) The decanter friar's head has a cork at the bottom where it is the stopper for the decanter.

Original sticker on the bottom of the decanter says "An Enterprise Exculsive, TORONTO, CANADA". The bottom is also stamped ESD Japan and Handpainted.

In nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Light wear from storage on the bottoms and crazing consistent with mid century age. I would guess this set was never used but was a display piece as the original sticker is still in place on the bottom of the large friar decanter.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do we answer questions about the value or “worth” of items?

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
