Imri handpainted angel mobile in its original box with the guarantee card and the quality tag still intact. The mobile looks as thought it was not used, and never put together. The company that made this was called Nursey Plastics and was located in New York, New York.
NOTE: Imri was a German immigrant who escaped Nazi Germany in 1938. The company produced a number of wooden items for the baby's room in the mid century using Imri's creative talents - she didn't draw but told artist's what she wanted for the items they produced until 1969 when they sold the company. It continued under different management including the Gerber Co. until 1980.
The angels and characters on this mobile are light pastel colors, with a focus on pink, yellow and blue. The music box still plays and the tune is "Go to Sleep Little Baby". This is model No. M813 as noted on the box.
As noted above, the music box works and plays "Go to Sleep Little Baby" when wound.
The mobile attaches to a crib with a piece with a clamp that has a screw that when turned tightens the clamp on to the crib rail or wherever you decide to use it. This white colored metal arm with the clamp on it can be seen in the far right of the first photo.
The angels hang from clear line. The tag from the manufacturer, Irmi, is hanging from one of the sections as I believe this was never used so the tag attached with a string remains intact.
In great vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
*NOTE: The actual colors on this mobile are a bit more subtle than they show in the photos.
