Vintage 8 piece set of 7 matching and stacking Ardalt coasters or small round dishes that fit in a basket holder. They are from the mid century and made in Occupied Japan.
Each one is round with two tiny handles (holes) on either side. Each one has a beautiful painted landscape in the center and they are all signed by the artist -7 different scenic paintings. They have gold edges.
The 4 small dishes or coasters sit inside a dish with an ornate handle that has gold accent trim as well. The handle of the holder is made to look like bamboo.
The backs of each of these peices are all stamped Hand painted, Lenwile China, Occupied Japan, Ardalt with the Ardalt logo.

The 7 ashtrays or little dishes are all the same size and fit one on top of the other.
Approx. Measurements:
Ashtrays - 3 3/4" diameter.
Basket - 4" diameter and is approx. 3 3/4" high to the top of the basket handle.
All in nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Some wear in various places as would be expected an item from the mid century.
