Chic vintage/antqiue brass colored metal ladies' shoe made of brass that is of the style of the 1920s. This trendy (at the time) pump features two high relief flowers and stitching on the toe with a puffy flower/pom at the very top of the center of the shoe. It has a thick pump heel.
The shoe was made by the Jennings Brothers Company of Connecticut - see NOTE below for more about this company.
This shoe was at one time a pin cushion, but the inner portion that was padded to hold pins has long since been removed. It is a great shabby chic piece and features a shoe style from the Roaring 20s.
This brass colored metal piece is marked on the bottom TRADEMARK J.B. SIGNIFIES THE BEST and the number 19.
Measures 7" long x 1 1/3" wide. The shoe is 3 1/2" high at the back where it is the highest.
In nice vintage condition with some patina and wear commensurate with vintage/antique age.
NOTE:
This item was made by Jennings Brothers Manufacturing Company. They operated a foundry and large manufacturing plant in Bridgeport, Connecticut from 1890 until the 1930s. They specialized in clocks, silver plated tableware and pretty art metal items such as this shoe, which originally was a pin cushion.
