Vintage Guild Crest Clock - Ornate Gold Filigree Table Clock w/ Stand - Mid Century Guildcrest Retro Clock - Working Rebuilt Clock
Very cool Guild Crest clock with an ornate gold filigree frame and a green velvet backing. The square shaped mid century clock has a stand on the back. The front has a gold satin backing with an ornate filigree of roses with thorns on the vines/stems that hangs over the inside edge for about 1" all around. The side of the frame also has a design of embossed ivy all around.
The Guild Crest company used 24K gold on its clocks in 1940 - not sure if this is one but it is a real looker!
Front says GUILD CREST MADE IN USA. The back says this clock is MODEL W.
This was originally an alarm clock but the original workings inside have been replaced with a modern battery operated clock mechanism. The round back comes off with 2 screws so that you can easily replace the battery.
The frame is gold and features a filigree design
Measures 6 7/8" on each side. Is 3 1/4" deep.
In nice vintage condition with the inner mechanism a newer / replaced battery operated clock. There is no alarm but a newer clock mechanism that takes one AA battery.
