Vintage Lefton Little Miss Dainty Cookie Jar - Ceramic Pottery Lidded Jar Yellow Hair, Blue, Red Biscuit Jar Circa 1950
Retro Lefton Cookie Jar in the unmistakable "Little Miss Dainty" design. This cookie jar by Lefton was made in the 1950s and features a yellow haired girl with a large blue bow under her chin. The back of her shirt is a pink and white polka dot with a white scalloped collar. She wears a white hat with red cross hatching on the edges on her head. On the top of her hat, which is the knob for the lid of this cookie jar, is a blue, green, yellow, and brown/red flower. Little Miss Dainty also sports a sprig of colorful flowers on one edge of her hat on the front. Lots of nice detail on her facial features.
This vintage collectible cookie jar is in nice vintage condition. There appears to be a repair on the hat rim - see closeups of the hat rim on Photo #8 and #3. Other than that, she has no other cracks. Very light chipping and use marks commensurate with vintage age. Item's price reflects this condition.
The bottom has a green copyright symbol and the signature of Geo T Lefton and the numbers/letter 040A under the Lefton name.
Little Miss Dainty would make a wonderful kitchen decor item in a retro kitchen.
