Vintage large AUSTIN PRODUCTIONS sculpture entitled "Story Time" signed by artist Alice Heath that is dated 1989.
Original sticker and informational pamphlet from Austin Productions is still on the bottom of this chalkware piece. The pamphlet is encased in a plastic envelope and opens up to contain the name and serial number of this statue and some biographical information about Alice Health.
This statue is a rare find. It is signed with engraved letters on the bottom back - it says Alice Health and below that, it says AUSTIN PROD INC and then the copyright symbol and the year 1989.
Original black felt is on the bottom.
Off white or ivory finish on this statue with light pink and blue color wash on the ruffles of the dresses of both mother and little girl.
Measures approx. 13" x 10" x 8".
Weighs 11 lbs. 5 oz. before packaging for shipment.
In very nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks.

Austin produced sculptures since 1952 and many have been discontinued over the last 40 or so years. However, styles and designs which may once have proven unpopular for a period are often now highly desirable again and this has created significant interest in many older Austin Sculptures. Many discontinued sculptures have gone on to become highly desired collectible items which are now hard to find and if you own one very difficult to replace. Owners of current Austin Sculptures productions should take very good care of their sculptures because their rarity may increase in the future.
