Great little silverplate teapot by Gorham in the Newport line. It still has the original sticker on the bottom and appears that it was never used.
Has a nice ribbed knob on the lid and a natural wicker type of wrapped handle on this smaller sized teapot.
Measures approx. 6" across from tip of spout to other side. It is 4 1/2' high without the handle and 6 1/2" high including the handle. Top opening is 2 1/2" in diameter - so is the lid, obviously!
The bottom is stamped NEWPORT GORHAM SILVERPLATE and has the numbers/letters Y889 on it. The red foil sticker is also on the bottom that says SILVERPATE NEWPORT by GORHAM.
In nice vintage condition with wear from storage. Inside has light patina.
