Vintage handpainted Z & S. Co. (Scherzer) teapot and sugar with a lid that features floral designs with light blue, green and pinks. The knobs on both pieces are blue and the handles on the sugar bowl as well as the handle on the teapot are also blue. The lids are octagonal and have blue knobs on the tops. The ivory colored background on both pieces has an iridescent finish - while it is hard to photograph, please see photo #5. Both pieces are very lightweight in the hand.
The green Z. & S. Co. Bavaria hallmark on the sugar bowl dates these pieces to between 1880 and 1918. Both pieces are signed by the artist L. Parlato or Patlato. See NOTE below about Z. & S. Co. or Scherzer.
This wonderful teapot and creamer set is in great vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Some wear to the bottom as would be expected items of this age.

NOTE:
The company 'Zeh, Scherzer & Co.' was founded in 1880 and directly started to produce a wide range of pieces including coffee and tea sets, normal household items and tableware as well as decoration porcelain. Items made by the company caught the eye of the Geo. Borgfeldt & Co. company and during January 1907 and May 1908 'Zeh, Scherzer & Co.' produced a series of items exclusively for the company from New York. Being very successful in decoration porcelain, the company opened its own art department in 1908. The resulting products were quite spectacular and even today remain a valuable addition to any art deco collection; next to figures of normal human beings, quite a remarkable number of animals and fantasy figures were produced over the years.

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them.
