Champagne Wine Glasses 4 Vintage Colored Bands Anchor Hocking Black Orange Stripes - Four Glasses w/ Waffle Underside Black Base Clear Stem

Sorry, this item has sold.

A vintage set of 4 very unusual champagne glasses that have a black base, clear stem, striped bowl that also has slight ribbing. The underside of the black bases have a "waffle" texture - very different. I believe they are by Anchor Hocking in a pattern they called Colored Bands that were circa 1920s to 1930s.

The orange and black striping was done by hand as evidenced in slight variations in the lines. There is a seam on both sides of these glasses that can be seen and felt on the stems and the bowls. Very nice heft to them - heavier than you expect.

They stand 5" tall. Top opening on bowl is 3 1/2" across. Bases have a diameter of approx. 2 1/2".

No chips or cracks. In nice vintage condition with wear commensurate with vintage age.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do we answer questions about the value or “worth” of items?

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
