Vintage Pair Brass Oval Picture Frame from Italy - Mid century Brass Frames w/ Ribbon at Top from Twin Fair - 2 Available Action Co Frames
Mid century pair of 2 matching brass picture frames in an oval shape. They have a decorative bow on the top and little looped legs on the bottom. Wood backs with a stand are on the back side. Glass in the front is in nice shape with light wear, probably from storage.
Have the original stickers on the backs from the Action Co. made in Italy as well as the Twin Fair stickers - a discount department store that went out of business around 1978 - see NOTE below.
Measure 7" x 4" with the frame included. Picture oval inside measures 5 1/2" x 3 1/2".
In very nice vintage condition as I don't think these were ever used for photos.
NOTE:
Twin Fair, Inc. was a discount department store chain based in Buffalo, New York. It was incorporated on March 22, 1956, and the first store opened on Walden Avenue. By 1959, four stores were in operation and sales stood at $2.5 million. By 1970, through expansion and acquisition, the chain grew to 37 stores located primarily in New York and Ohio. The Ohio stores were later sold to Meijer, which briefly converted them to a concept called Meijer Square. The NY stores were sold to another chain, Hens & Kelley in 1978.
