These matching but different floral wall hangings are in ceramic or resin frames - I am not sure what material they are made of. I believe they are circa 1940s. They have ivory colored frames with decorative black edges and feature floral arrangements in vases with the colors ivory, brown, maroon, dark lavender, light and dark green by the artist J L Prevost.
The frames are chipped and worn and perfect for a shabby chic or cottage chic decor. The backs have a wooden looking panel with hooks for hanging. The original stickers are on the back that say DUCROUX PRODUCTS NEW YORK.
As noted above, both lightweight paper prints have the signature of the artist J L Prevost with a copyright symbol along with another symbol under the signature. Jean Louis Prévost was French and lived circa 1760 and died sometime after 1810. Prevost did many still life works, especially of flowers. The lightweight prints easily come out of the back compartment and I believe there is even room for glass to be placed in front if so desired. (There is a light piece of vinyl over the prints now.)
They measure 7" x 6" each.
In nice vintage condition with some wear and chips on the front of the frames and each has a bit of of the black paint from the frame on the bottom right - I would guess has always been there. Definitely shabby chic!
