Great retro Wilton Armetale domed hinged lidded coffee pot or creamer pitcher marked “RWP” “USA” with a black handle. (I am not sure if this handle is resin or enamel but it is shiny.)
This unique coffee pot will keep whatever is served in it hot and palatable because it is cast in Armetale metal . Wilton Armetale metal is a unique, non-toxic aluminum-based alloy, making it ideal for cooking and entertaining - see NOTE below. It has a matte finish that many people confuse with pewter. The pot or pitcher is extremely well made and stamped " U.S.A and "RWP" markings. I believe that it is model # 1845.
The pot has a domed, hinged lid. It will hold about 20 ounces. The ornate handle is black and I believe that it is resin. The pot is marked with the Wilton hallmarks just below the rim.
Measures about 6” tall. The base measures 4” in diameter. From the tip of the spout to the outside of the handle is approximately 6 ¾”.
The coffee pot or pitcher is in good vintage condition with wear consistent with the age of this item which I believe is mid century. There are no cracks or dents.
NOTE:
The origin of the Wilton Products company is unknown but believed to be approximately 1935. It was the immediate, separate but overlapping, successor to Susquehanna Castings. Susquehanna made iron products, while Wilton Products decorated them. Wilton Products was popular throughout the 1940's & 1950's until it's close in 1989.
Wilton Brass was established in 1954 in Columbia, Pennsylvania, and offered brass objects made for industry and consumers. In 1963 this company developed another metal from an aluminum based alloy which it called "ARMETALE". By the late 1960's the Armetale products overshadowed the brass offerings. The company continued to be known as the "Wilton Brass Company" until well into the 1980's, while still making Armetale.

Love it. I know I'll use it a lot. I love Armetale.
