This is a vintage King's Crown-Cranberry Flashed Glass (Round red base) set of 2 double candle holders made by Tiffin-Franciscan.
The stem and arms are clear glass with red flash on the wide round bases. The top cup that holds the candles has the signature thumbprint impressions around their top section.
What is flash? Flashed glass is a type of glass created by coating a colorless glass with one or more thin layers of colored glass.
There is a line of zig zag designs above and below the thumbprint shapes. There are also rows on the base that have a raised zig zag edge.
The Tiffin-Franciscan Company made this Kings Crown pattern from 1943 to 1962.
The 2 pieces have no chips or cracks - the red flash is in wonderful condition as shown in the photos. It is an eye-catching pair of double candleholders in nice mid century condition.
