Distinctive blue Art glass piece with a basket shape and a wonderful twist on the top on the handle. The handle is round and twists at the very top and arches over the slightly upturned sides of this retro piece that is shaped like a basket with a rolled top edge. The handle ends have a checkered pattern on them where they attach to the base. There is a pontil at the bottom - typical for an Art glass piece.
As it is blue glass, this vintage home decor item lends itself to a variety of way to display it - anything colorful would get a boost when placed by it.
Measures approx. 7 1/4" high and is 4 1/2" wide
This vintage blown art glass basket has no chips or cracks. Air bubbles in the glass all over which is indicative of a blown glass piece. On the handle in one spot, is a dark cluster that was made in production - see photo close up. This cute basket is in nice vintage condition! Circa 1970s - late mid century.
