Adorable book locket made by Coro of gold tone metal on a long twisted gold tone metal rope chain. This vintage locket is a rectangular book shape. The front is very ornate with a central oval pink glass gem encircled by a single row small white pearls. There are raised designs around the gem and pearls and some higher designs on the 4 corners. The back of this 4 photo compartment locket is plain with no design.
The inside of the locket holds 4 rectangular shaped photos. There are 3 old black and white photos inside and one empty well. The photos look to be circa 1940-50s. All of the four wells have their plastic covers and frames intact.
The locket is on a vintage 30" long gold tone metal chain that has a spring ring clasp. The clasp closes securely.
The locket is in nice vintage condition with wear commensurate with age. See photos for detail.
Measures approximately 1 1/8" long (without bale loop) and 7/8" wide.

The locket is marked Coro with the copyright symbol and Pat. No. 2,856,761 on the inside.
The chain is unmarked but near the clasp is a tiny charm in a Tao type of shape.
