Beautiful green vintage cased glass vase. It features a light mint green and darker emerald green swirl pattern that is accented with 8 red vertical ovals in the glass throughout the sides of the vase. The green swirl pattern runs vertically on the sides of the vase for the most part. The top is round but the bottom has a square shape as the sides are pinched at the bottom. These pinches have created 4 dimples (puckered areas) at the base and these make the bottom have a square shape rather than round like the top opening.
There is a thin layer of clear glass at the base - cased glass - and there is a smooth pontil on the bottom of this vase. There are bubbles here and there typical of hand blown art glass. The shape and design are very mid century modern.
Measures 7" high and is 4 1/2" in diameter around the top opening. The base has a 3" square measurement. This vase is rather heavy, weighing in at more than 2 1/2 lbs. before packaging for shipment.
No cracks or chips and in great vintage condition.
Great color - very vibrant.
