Gibson Belfast SilverPlate Teapot - Vintage TEA POT marked EPNS ca 1920s Shabby Chic Dining Serving Art Deco Repousse Design

$55.25

Sorry, this item has sold.

Lovely Gibson Belfast silver plate EPNS teapot. I believe this was a piece is circa 1920s. While this teapot is nearly identical to one made by William Adams of England in pattern #1110, it is clearly marked for the Gibson & Co Limited Belfast on the bottom.

The teapot has a black bakelite knob on the top of the lid and a bakelite handle that is very Art Deco in shape. The sides feature raised florals, swirls, ovals and curled leaves as does the oval lid.

Bottom is stamped 0171 GIBSON & CO LIMITED BELFAST E.P.N.S.

Condition: In nice antique condition with some denting and uneven edges on the lid where it meets the body of the teapot. Some patina is present but I left that as some people prefer it. Each were lightly polished but could be further polished if so desired. Some light wear consistent with age (see photos)

Size:
Teapot: Approx. 5'' tall, 9'' from spout to handle, 4'' wide.

Very useable and a great addition to any afternoon tea and would also be a wonderful shabby chic kitchen display piece.
