What a unique piece! This wooden bowl on a pedestal is a real conversation started with its great turned round sections and carved pedestal section. The wood is walnut and it is a deep rich brown color. The pedestal or stem section is the most unique - it looks different when looked at from the front than from the sides. This section is carved and forms two bent X shapes that stand next to each other. The round base has two little horizontal sections. The top has a little round knob on the lid that is flared at the very top. The lid fits loosely on the jar or main section of this vintage piece.
Approx. Measurements:
Bowl - 6" high with lid on. 5" high without lid. About 4 1/2" diameter at widest point.
Lid - 1 1/2" high and 3 1/4" diameter
All wood construction and is in nice vintage shape with light signs of wear commensurate with vintage age. See photos.
Great home decor piece that could also be functional to hold an item(s) you desire.
The interior would hold item(s) that would fit inside a 2” high x 4” wide space.
