A vintage Owens Illinois White House Vinegar Bottle. This is a Depression Glass Pattern that was called Cameo or Ballerina and Dancing Girl. The bottle was made in Bridgeton, NJ around the early 1930s.
This vintage emerald green bottle and stopper once held Whitehouse vinegar. It is a glass bottle, made by the Owens Illinois Company, has a raised garland design all over the wide bulbous section at the bottom that was called Cameo or Ballerina Dancing Girl. The neck of the bottle has some subtle panels all around it that fade into the wider bulbous bottom section. The stopper, which is not the original, is also a green glass and has a silver top coating on it. The green color is slightly different than the bottle but pretty close! At the top of the stopper is a chip that exposes the green glass underneath. The stopper has two rings on it and at the very top it tapers to a point (where the chip is).
The bottom says WHITEHOUSE VINEGAR and has a hallmark stamp for the Owens Illinois Company that is a triangle and an oval that overlap with a capital I in the center.
The lovely retro home decor collector piece is in nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks. The stopper has a chip and wear to the silver on the very top - see photos for detail. Wear from use is on the base of the stopper where it fits into the bottle.
Measures 9 1/4" tall with the stopper in. The bottle alone is 7 1/2" tall. The base of the bottle has an approximate 4 1/2" diameter.
