A wonderful vintage mid century wood fruit or vegetable bowl that would be perfect for holding and displaying your fruits in your country kitchen or as a centerpiece all by itself. The round top wood section is in amazing shape considering this is a mid century item. I would guess it did not see much use. The base is a shiny silver metal - most likely chrome - that is screwed on to the top in four places. The sides of the bowl show the different grains of the wood pieces that were put together in about 1" wide pieces to make this bowl. The bowl is circa mid century in age.
The bottom of the bowl has a metal round pedestal base that is wider at the bottom than where it attached to the wooden bowl section. This chrome base has two "tiers" on it as it gets wider at the very bottom with the slightly smaller "tier" at the top section where it attaches to the wooden bowl.
The retro fruit bowl is 9" in diameter on the top wood section. The base has a 6" diameter.
The bowl is in nice vintage condition with light scratching and wear commensurate with mid century age. There are no splits or chips in the wood. The silver metal is in nice shape with little wear as well.
