Beautiful vintage satin and clear glass apothecary jar with a lid that stands 10" high with the lid on. The body of this jar is a light and pale frosted yellow color that is very very subtle. The yellow portion of the jar has a slight iridescent finish to it. The base and the top knob on the lid are clear glass with no iridescent quality, providing some contrast to this Depression Era jar. The lid and the sides have soft ribs or panels on them. The knob on the top is rounded at the bottom and comes to a point at the top.
This retro glass jar is not marked but best estimate this is circa early to mid century in age.
Measurements:
Height - 10" tall with lid on, 5 1/2" without the lid on
Top opening diameter - 4 1/4"
Base Diameter - 4"
Lid alone is 3 1/2" high
The retro glass jar weighs 2 lbs. before packaging for shipment.
The satin and clear glass lidded home decor apothecary or display jar is in nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks. There are small air bubbles in the glass here and there typical of Depression Era glass. Some light wear and scratching commensurate with vintage age - even so, it still looks wonderful!
