Vintage light blue and clear glass decanter with a unique stopper that can be used as a shot glass. This blown glass barware serving piece with a bulbous bottom shape is circa mid century. This decanter was made in Italy as noted by the original red and gold foil sticker on the outside of the bottle. The stopper is a clear glass and it fits nicely inside the top of this smaller sized retro decanter that is most likely meant for liquor. The stopper is open at the top and is a shot glass so it can be used to measure out the servings of liquor when in use.
The decanter measures 7“ high with the stopper in. The blue decanter alone is 5 3/4“ high. The decanter has an approximate 5 1/2“ diameter at the widest part. The base has a 3“ diameter.
The stopper is 2 1/2" in length and top opening of the stopper / shot glass has a 1 1/2“ diameter.
This adorable and unique two-color decanter is in nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Wear commensurate with vintage age with the bottle looking very nice - wear on the neck where the stopper rests. The original red and gold foil label is still intact on the exterior so it appears this decanter was never used. Air bubbles in the glass here and there typical of blown glass - see photos for detail.
An adorable blue and clear glass decanter that would look great on display or very stylish in use!
