Vintage Table Vase w/ Embossed Bow Design Mustard Yellow - Shawnee Pottery USA 819 - Mid Century MCM Retro Home Decor Ca 1950s
Striking Shawnee Pottery vase from the mid century in a mustard yellow color. This table vase has a bow design on the front, some ribbing on the flared top and two small protruding pieces on the side that look like handles. This design is on the front and the back. The vase is wider on the front and back as this vase is more of an oval shape. The bottom is marked with USA and 819.
NOTE:
The Shawnee Pottery Company began in 1937 and closed in 1961. The company was named after the local Indian tribe in the Zanesville, Ohio area. An arrowhead was also used as their marking symbol on wares. At the height of operations, Shawnee made cookie jars, salts & peppers, cooking ware, planters, vases etc.
Measures 8 1/2” high. The top opening is 5 1/2” x 4“. The base is an oval that is 3 1/2" x 2 1/4".
Stamped USA 819 on the bottom. This vase is circa 1950s.
In nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks in the pottery. Light wear commensurate with vintage age. See photos for detail.
