A vintage 6 piece set of glass bowls in a salad serving set. Each bowl has a softly graduated ribbed pattern - there are three rounded ribs on the salad bowl and two on the smaller individual serving bowls. You can feel the ribs on the inside of the bowls but the exterior is smooth.
There is a large salad bowl and five smaller matching glass individual bowls in this six piece set. They are all an amber colored glass and the smaller bowls fit inside each other when stacked.
The set is circa late mid century in age - circa 1970s.
Sizes:
Serving bowl - 5 3/4" high x 10" wide at the top. The base has a 4 1/2" diameter.
Individual bowls - 2 5/8" high x 5" wide at the top. The bases have a 3" diameter.
The set is quite heavy as it is glass weighing in at about 7 1/2 lbs. before packaging for shipment.
In nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks - a few light use marks here and there as would be expected items that are circa late mid century. There is a spot with some dark color in the glass bottom of the large bowl from when it was fired - see last photo.
A unique set of six glass bowls for salads or snacks.
