Antique Crock Round w/ Brown Interior Glaze - Marked 7 1/4 Farmhouse Country Cottage Decor - Rustic Display Storage Container Stonewear

$40.80

Sorry, this item has sold.

An antique stoneware crock in a low size that features a beige exterior and a brown drip glaze interior. The crock is marked on the bottom in blue - the making says 7 1/4. Back in the day, these crocks were used to store food, most often in a root cellar. Crocks stored foods like butter, salted meats and pickled vegetables. Today, they make great display and home decor items around the house, either inside or outside on a deck or a landing.

Measures 6" tall and it is 9" in diameter. This crock weighs 7 1/4 lbs. before packing for shipment. (NOTE: Shipping on this item is free.)

In nice antique condition with no chips or cracks. The surface is pitted, as was usual. There is lots of wear, especially on the top edge and the bottom that is commensurate with vintage age - circa late 1800s to the early 1900s.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do we answer questions about the value or “worth” of items?

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
