Great wooden two-tone bowl is perfect for holding and displaying your fruit, dried florals, serving bread or rolls, or beautiful on it's own. The wooden bowl is a long rounded rectangle and has two stains of wood in a free form pattern all over the oblong shape. The darker stain is very dark - a walnut color, while the lighter stain is more of an oak shade.
The contrast is eye-catching as is the shape of this carved wood bowl, which is not a perfect oval. It is slightly wider at one end than the other. The bottom has an oval base that is flat on the bottom allowing the bowl to sit nicely and be quite stable. The wood (possibly birch?) is solid and the bowl is sturdy. It weighs about 1 1/2 lbs. before packaging for shipment.
This unique bowl measures 2" high. It is 19" long. The ends are 5" wide at one end, and 5 1/2" wide at the other.
There are no splits or chips in the wood and it is sturdy. In good overall vintage condition - some light signs of wear commensurate with vintage age - circa 1980s.
