Beautiful vintage cranberry red and clear glass lidded apothecary or candy jar with that is circa mid century. The jar is a round cylindrical shape with a bulbous body that is etched. The etched design of a round berries with leaves on a branch is on the front, while the back of the red section is plain. The lid is red but the round knob on the top is clear glass. There is a round ball / wafer that is clear glass in between the red body of the jar and the round clear glass base.
The top round knob on the lid, pedestal and base are clear glass. The wide and etched portion of the body of the jar is red.
ass.
The lidded glass candy, storage or display jar measures approx. 11 1/2” high with the lid on, 8 1/2” high without the lid on. It is about 5 1/4” in diameter at the center. The round base has a 3 1/4" diameter.
In nice vintage condition with no chips or no cracks in the glass on either the canister or the lid. Some light wear to the red around the top rim. (Hard to see this when the lid is in place.)
Great retro home decor piece.
