A great set of 6 vintage red pressed glass and silver metal stemmed liquor or cocktail glasses that are from the Art Deco era. These are liquor or cocktail glasses but could be used as small wine glasses. This set were most likely produced circa 1930- 1940s.
They have a sliver metal stem with a ringed design and a barrel shape under the bowl. There is a ridge on the base about 1/2" in giving them more pizazz. The crystal bowls are red and have a pattern of two raised vertical lines in six places on the sides of each one. At the top of these vertical lines are sets of four smaller vertical lines - see close up photo. These glasses have a nice heft to them - not light but a bit more substance due to the metal stems and the thickness of the ruby red bowls.
Measure 5 1/4" high and top opening has a diameter of 3". The base diameter is 2".
These six cocktail glasses are unsigned. (They are similar to New Martinsville Ruby Red Moondrops but the stems are different.)
In great vintage condition with no chips or cracks. They are very durable glasses and the red color makes them a striking set of retro barware.
