Vintage pink and clear glass pitcher that is made of hand decorated blown glass that is circa the Victorian era. Reminds one of Coudersport Glass.
This very pretty two-tone pitcher has a lovely dark pink color on the top and clear glass on the bottom. There are small white enamel designs made from tiny dots that form swirls and lined designs all over this piece. There are some gold shield shapes on the pink portion of the top - some of these shapes show wear to the gold. See photos for detail.
The handle is clear glass and is attached at the side. The spout rim has a great classic shape with a gold trim around it. There are bubbles in the glass in a few places and a distinct pontil on the bottom as this is a hand blown glass piece.
Measures approx. 10” high. Base has about a 3 1/2” diameter. Top opening is 3” across and is about 5 1/3” across from the tip of the spout to tue end of the handle.
In nice antique condition with wear to the gold especially the shield shapes on the mid top section. Wear on the gold is commensurate with antique age. Still a lovely and unique piece and sure to be a conversation starter.
