This vintage Austin Productions statue of Michangelo’s Pieta on a wooden base. This reproduction of this famous statue of Mary holding her dead son, Jesus the Christ, is dated 1972 and has the Austin Prod mark on the back. The white statue is a ceramic material and is on an oval wooden base.
Mary, the Blessed Mother holds the crucified Jesus across her lap as she mourns over his lifeless and broken body.
In nice vintage condition with some wear on this circa mid century piece commensurate with vintage age. See photo closeups for detail.
Measures 11" high. Base is about is 9" x 4 1/2".
