Pair of vintage brass candlesticks with a round base and some raised or embossed detail on the top rim, as well as some very different little "handle" shapes on the top and on the round drip rim just below the top cup. There are two of these little handle or curved shapes on each of the sections mentioned above. The cup section that would hold the candle almost looks like a little pot with handles. It sits on a wafer and then there is a tapered section between the round drip piece. Some wonderful shapes on the stem before you get to the round base.
On the bases, the stem section, the drip rim and the cup are raised designs that feature a butterfly, a flower and some viney leaves. Each candlestick holder has three little pedestal legs on the round base.
Both of these retro home decor pieces are in nice vintage condition with some patina, verdigris, and light signs of wear, consistent with their vintage age - circa 1990s.
Measure approx. 7 1/2” high and the bases are approx. 5" in diameter. The top round cup where the regular sized taper is held is 1 1/2" across from tiny handle to the other tiny handle. Each of these weighs a pound - they are hefty for their size.
Great pair of medium height brass candlesticks with a unique design and shape.
