Vintage Blue Glass Bottle w/ Glass stopper Downy Empoli - Turquoise decanter Mid century MCM Home Decor Display 1960 - 1970 Fabric Softener

$40.50

Sorry, this item has sold.

A vintage Downy genie turquoise blue bottle or decanter with a stopper that held Downy fabric softener and was used in the 1960s to 1970s to sell their product. It has a great shape with a longer thin neck section and a wide base area. The stopper is unique too in that it has a tapered shape that matches the bottle or decanter but has a flat top. The base of the stopper has a cork section that is in nice vintage condition and fits inside the bottle nicely with a tight seal.

The color of this glass piece is eye-catching. There are tiny bubbles in the glass here and there that are typical of blown glass.

Measures 13 1/2" tall with the stopper in. The bottle alone is 11" tall. The widest part of the bottle near the bottom has an approximate 4 1/3" diameter. The stopper alone is 3 1/2" long.

In nice vintage condition with no chips or cracks. The color is clear with some wear/scratching on the glass on one side at the widest section where the bottle probably bumped into things in storage. Item's price reflects this condition.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do we answer questions about the value or “worth” of items?

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them. Therefore, there is no way to assign something a set monetary value - in our opinion. We suggest doing an online search to find similar items and take it from there.
