Antique Cake Plate Cake Plate or Stand that is marked English Porcelain and stamped with a date in the 1790s . Great piece for a centerpiece, serving or for display.
It seems that a number of potteries in Staffordshire, England used this pattern. Wm Adams Co. called it "Chinese Ching" and Bates & Walker and other potteries used this pattern it as well.
This cake plate is hallmarked by the SW & C.. (yes, it has 2 .. after the C) English Porcelain on the bottom. I am unable to find any record of the SW & C Company. Possibly the Stevenson & Williams of Cobridge.
Hallmark stamp in blue says - SW & C.. English Porcelain and the date 1792 or possibly 1790 - the last number is partial. The hallmark itself is round and features a crown on the top and in the center is a potter working on a tall vase. This cake plate also has red hand numbering of the numbers 6369 'O' near the center on the underside.
The pedestal cake plate or server features dark pink, turquoise, and gold paint on an Oriental scene that is outlined/sketched in dark blue.
Measures 4 1/2" high. Diameter of top plate is 9" across. Base has a 5" diameter.
In nice antique condition with no cracks. However, on the underside of the plate, there are 6 chips - see photos. There is color loss on the trim on the edges. Item is priced accordingly.
Still a great piece from quite some time ago.

No, we are not comfortable providing pricing or answering questions about the value or worth of vintage or antique items. We believe they are worth what someone will pay for them.
